The Center For Critical Thought (CCT) is a collaborative educational effort created by a group of New York City based activist teachers who believe that we have entered a new moment in American and world history requiring new dreams to dream and new visions to guide us.
CCT brings diverse communities together to participate in the development of new and imaginative forms of thinking to build a new social, political and economic worlds that provide for people’s needs through collaborative, environmentally healthy solidarity economics, built on the ideals of worker democracy, justice, equality, human rights and decency.
CCT serves as an affordable alternative educational experience by confronting the challenging issues of our historic moment through radical, historical and philosophical perspectives. Our mandate is to build an inter-disciplinary and inclusive approach to critical thought and activism in order to understand, uncover and resist the effects of capitalism and its institutions on our everyday lives, whether they be hierarchy, racism, sexism and inequality. To this end, we hope to collaborate in the development of communities necessary for a transformative politic for both self and the world.
